ICBM Launch Successful

According to a report of Korean Central Television, the government-owned broadcaster of Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-un regime successfully launched inter-continental ballistic missile called Mars 14 Tuesday morning, or Independence Day of United States. It was the first time for North Korea to be successful in launching ICBM, which had capability of striking U.S. mainland. Intimidation of Kim administration got into a new stage.

The missile was launched from Kusong city, located on northwest of Pyongyang, and touched down in economic exclusive zone of Japan in Japan Sea. The report revealed that Mars 14 reached 2,802 kilometers of altitude and 933 kilometers of length with 39 minutes flight. If it had been launched in an angle for attacking U.S., the missile could have reached Alaska.

The greatest achievement of the test was being successful in re-entry. One technological bottleneck for North Korean ICBM had been reinforcing nose corn, which was designed for loading nuclear warhead, to withstand heavy friction caused by re-entering atmosphere. With this technological breakthrough, nuclear attack on U.S. mainland by North Korea is no longer a nightmare but getting realistic. Last problem remaining is how to downsize nuclear warhead.

While the test was the message of Kim to U.S. not giving in, the response of U.S. President, Donald Trump, was too poor to deal with the issue. “North Korea has just launched another missile,” tweeted Trump. “Does this guy have anything better to do with his life?” U.S. Navy sent two aircraft careers to Japan Sea to deter missile test of North Korea. It was proved that effort did not work well. So, do you get tired of taking care of that uncontrollable dictator, Mr. President?

Trump also attributed it to China. “Perhaps China will put a heavy move on North Korea and end this nonsense once and for all!” tweeted Trump. That was an escape from direct intimidation from Kim regime. While criticizing the North’s missile test, China did not forget accusing U.S. having joint military drill with South Korea. It is not expectable that China will pose crucial punishment on Kim regime, which collapse will bring serious consequence on China.

Japan immediately responded to the information of the missile launch. Televisions delivered breaking news before the missile touched down. “North Korea ignored accumulated warning of international society. This missile launch clearly showed that the threat increased,” told Prime Minister to emphasize threat of North Korea as always he did. The missile launch is done, and there’s nothing he can do.
